Come on a magical musical journey with the Youth Singers of Calgary in MUSEO. Experience a dazzling display of sights and sounds as we take you on an imaginary tour of exhibits from Ancient Civilization to Futurama, and many places in between! We will explore times and places through music and dance, dramatically led by our Curator. There will be something new and exciting behind every curtain Sunday May 13, 2012 at the Jubilee Auditorium.

We are now taking registrations for our Summer Gleek Out Camps! Please find registration forms and information on our website here.
GLEEK OUT (ages 8-14)
Get ready to “Gleek Out!” this summer with the Youth Singers of Calgary. Our week long “Gleek Out!” Show Choir camps offer kids ages 8-14 the chance to sing and dance like the stars of the hit TV show and experience something totally different and totally exciting. Participants will learn a three song set, record a demo CD and perform in costume at the end of the week Showcase. Dates are as follows: July 23-27: ages 10-12 Aug 13-17: ages 8-10 Aug 20-24: ages 12-14 Register Today!
This year we will be producing FAME – The Musical. In addition to a role in the production we will offer vocal master classes, acting training and dance fundamentals. Auditions will be held on April 13, 2012. YSC ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC:
Elks Lodge & Golf Club is one of the highlights of the year, and always a fun way to get in hours and support Youth Singers! Come out spend a great day on the links helping to set up, support and run contests during the tournament, or come out and volunteer during the post-tournament dinner.
CASINO – July 15 & 16 TOUR 2013 to COSTA RICA
The Costa Rican’s have a saying – “Pura Vida”. It literally means “pure life”, but the saying goes beyond its simple translation – it symbolizes the idea of simply enjoying life and being happy. They use the phrase as their way of saying “hello”, “goodbye” and even “awesome”. Come along on the Youth Singers of Calgary’s tour to Costa Rica, and experience your own “Pura Vida”.

There is an opportunity for a few people to work for us now – August 2012. Two of the major jobs will be in marketing and promotion as well as camp management. There is also a `contract for Facility Managment/Production as of July 1, 2012 for one year to fill in for Bryan Clarke and Jocelyn Jones. As a part of YSC’s ongoing fund development strategy, we are seeking individuals who may have contacts with the various service clubs in town that could be potential supporters of our program. All performers in S, A Y, Q, E in the 2012/2013 season are eligible for this tour. A complement of artistic and technical staff, as well as tour assistants and travelers, will complete the group.
