Youth Singers is proud to once again offer this exceptional program, based on TADA!’s week-long musical theatre workshop. Youth Singers has the exclusive on bringing this popular New York program, and Dani Altiere, a TADA!-trained experienced artist, to Calgary. Experience New York City’s best theatre training for youth right here in Calgary!

Youth Singers offers the best musical theatre staff of any summer program in Calgary. Dani  Altiere, Director, is a professional actor, director, choreographer, dancer, writer and educator with over 20 years work experience in New York City.

Outstanding Program

On Monday morning, kids begin learning songs, choreography and lines from a musical written especially for them. By Friday afternoon, they are ready to take the stage. That is the magic of TADA! 

Since 1984, TADA! has established itself as the leading producer of professional theatre for youth in New York City. TADA! was founded to provide kids a place where they can develop individual talents while being a vital part of a group. Through rehearsals and performances, children develop their imagination, talent and self esteem in a fun, safe, and stimulating environment.

Ages
Kids who are 10 (entering Grade 5 in September 2008) up to age 15. NO exceptions.

Dates
Week 1: July 14 – 18, 2008 Grandma’s Attic Door
A story of exploring in Grandma’s attic and uncovering more than memories. Great dance music from past decades!

Week 2: July 21 – 25, 2008 Things That Go Bump! In the Night! (Exclusive to Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary)

Week 3: July 28 – August 1, 2008 A Day in the Life of Me
Follow a group of students as they deal with chores, school, peers and casting for the big school show. This camp is all about you!

Times
9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Optional activities / child-care available from 8:00 – 9:00 am and 3:30 – 5:00 pm.

Performance
Each week-long culminates in a performance on Friday afternoon, open to everyone!

$300.00 per child

Beltline Community Centre - 1302 6th Street SE (close to Stampede Park - access off of 12th Avenue SE)
