Do you have an interest in performing more, or still? There are many opportunities within our SHINE Collective for you depending on your age, availability and interest.

SHINE

• SHINE is a high-energy ensemble that represents the Youth Singers of Calgary out and around our city
• SHINE rehearses Monday evenings and performs year-round as an independent group both in the community and featured in the two Youth Singers Mainstage Jubilee productions in December and May
• With a condensed repertoire list of 4-5 songs per Christmas and Spring season, SHINE will also provide professional and polished backup support for the Collective Individual Acts at necessary performances
• Current YSC Grade 12 SENIOR HI singers are invited to join SHINE for their Jubilee performance in the YSC Mainstage productions
• Must be 18+

SUMMER TROUPE

• Join the SHINE gigging season this summer from June until August!
• Whether you’re home for the summer, or looking for some extra performance opportunities this is the perfect opportunity for a short-term commitment
• Join SHINE in all of their seasonal repertoire, as well as provide polished backup support for the Collective Individual Acts
• There will be two rehearsals scheduled on June 13 and 20, 6-9:30pm
• Submit your own individual act to be workshopped and staged as part of the Collective!
• Must be a Grade 12 graduate, or 18+

THE COLLECTIVE

• The Collective is a Supplemental Performance Opportunity for anyone 14+ who has an interest in performing more! 
• Submit your singing act (solo, duet, or group) to join our professional gigging teams and perform throughout the greater YYC Community
• All selected acts will have one short rehearsal and be coached, staged and polished by our talented team of professionals giving every performance a professional touch. Including the possibility of backup singers, choreography, instrumentalists or a band!
• All selected acts will have the support of the YSC production team including a sound engineer at gigs, professional sound equipment, and on-site production support
• Your act gets added to our Roster-List for community performances. Come gig with us for shows that work with your availability!
• Acts will be matched with gigs as they are booked. We are expecting many festival and community opportunities during Spring, Stampede, and through the summer.
• Upload a video of your act to our YSC Dropbox link. Leave contact details upon upload and tell us a little about your special act at the start of your video. It’s that easy!
