In July 2015, Youth Singers of Calgary headlined a world-class performance tour in China spanning 10 cities and 2800km, at the invitation of the Chinese government’s Department of Culture. Our tour group of 106 performers, staff and travellers brought the “Applause” Tour show to 7 primarily new venues whose size and technical specs were on par with the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

In addition to performing, we visited the Great Wall of China and Tian’anmen Square, saw the colourful night time Shanghai skyline, visited a tea plantation, and took the tram at a 30-degree angle up the hill to visit the Peak in Hong Kong!
