Chris Thompson has been working in the Entertainment industry for over 25 years, currently working as an independent writer, producer, choreographer, performance coach, vocalist, and graphic artist. As a founding performing member of Youth Singers of Calgary starting when he was in Grade 9, Chris grew up to develop a career in the Arts, including working with the Youth Singers organization starting in 1994, going on to choreograph countless iconic and memorable pieces over the next 25 years. Chris has performed live and assisted to produce numerous concerts locally and internationally including across North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and China. He continues to work on the creative team to develop the type of shows and programming seen today, as well as working with the Marketing team.

As Entertainment Director at Calaway Park, Chris has written and produced over 60 original stage productions. He has a certified designation in Entertainment management in the theme park industry with IAAPA (International Association of Theme Parks & Attractions) and has worked on projects with Disney, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Six Flags, Ocean Park Hong Kong, and Paramount. He continues to find joy in creating magic and entertainment for young audiences, in recent years also working with Storybook Theatre as Assistant Director for several musicals and performing in the “Top Secret Musicals” supporting raising funds for the Ellie Tims Project. When not working on or off stage, Chris can be found working on pop culture art and graphic design projects and is a featured artist at Calgary and Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expos each year.
