Julie Thiessen joined the Youth Singers of Calgary as a member in 1997 and became part of the artistic staff in 2013. She trained in tap, jazz, and hip-hop at Dance Spectrum and performed in community theatre productions with Simply Theatre. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary. By day, she teaches high school mathematics, where her passion and energy shine in the classroom. Dedicated to working with youth, Julie is grateful to combine her love of teaching with her lifelong connection to Youth Singers, an organization that has always held a special place in her life.
