Karen recently joined the Youth Singers of Calgary community in the fall of 2025. She has two daughters, one of which has started in the Kidazzle Program this year.

Karen is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Alberta. She and her husband, Aaron, founded Rentch in 2015, a real estate brokerage specializing in residential property management and real estate sales. She wears many hats handling a range of responsibilities, including resolving property issues, negotiating deals, guiding clients, managing employees, drafting contracts, launching marketing campaigns, designing interior spaces, and tackling other operational tasks. Building Rentch from a startup to a successful business managing nearly 300 properties and $80 million in real estate assets has taught her the grit and resilience needed to turn dreams into reality.

Karen holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Calgary and is fluent in French. She also has prior experience in oil & gas as well as in the non-profit sector. As a new member of the Board, Karen is excited to contribute to the YSC Board as a member of the APAC Committee and Finance Committee.
