Kristin Miller

Sustainability Coordinator

Kristin Miller has been a member of the Youth Singers of Calgary for more than seven years, contributing in many ways including props manager, backstage support, and as a singer with Encore in the Alto section. She has been singing in choirs since elementary school, and with three of her four children also participating in YSC programming, the organization has become a meaningful part of her family’s life.

In her current role as Sustainability Coordinator, Kristin leads projects such as the Sustainable Style Showcase, wardrobe & props repurposing, and family fundraising initiatives that support both international tours and year-round programming. She is passionate about creating inclusive opportunities for families to get involved, whether through resale events, clothing drives, sewing workshops, or volunteer opportunities. Recognized for her creative and practical sustainability projects at YSC, she qualified the organization to receive the City of Calgary’s Circular Economy Grant in 2024.

Kristin holds a diploma in social work and is currently pursuing her degree. She brings her transferable skills in community engagement, organization, and leadership to YSC, where she works closely with families and staff to strengthen inclusive, innovative, and sustainable practices across the organization.
